Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through, be it a parent, child, spouse or best friend. No words can express how I feel about losing my dad. It is not going to be easy to get over my loss, but I believe only time can help me accept this fact.
Papa was a very hardworking man who always made sure that we had food on the table and that we led comfortable lives. He was a kind and compassionate man who seldom showed his feelings. But somehow we knew he loves us as he would always buy our favourite foods or little toys for us on his way home from work. I can still remember him buying me little things like stickers and a spider-man mask, reading me bedtime stories and making us special dinners on weekends.
To his friends, he was a very kind person who was always ready to help. He seldom asked anybody for help, but he was a generous man, who did not want to be acknowledged for anything.
Papa showed strength till the end and even when he was uncomfortable, he never complained and kept his spirits up. I hope I can be what Papa was as he is my definition of what a good person is.
Although it is hard, let's be glad that Papa died peacefully and is no longer in pain and has gone home to be with our creator.
I love you, Papa and you will be missed.
